Car fax Vehicle History Service Car fax, an independent service company that can give you a detailed report of a car's history. The cost of this service is $12.50. Car fax has a complete database on used vehicle history with over 190 million vehicles including over 19 million vehicles with problems from 47 states (excluding RI, VT, and WY). Car fax obtains information on 1981 and newer vehicles and will provide information on "hidden problems," such as odometer rollbacks, flood damage and junk or salvage titles. A report will be sent directly to your computer.
